Education Partnerships and Grant Application

It’s really very simple!

K is for Kids® Foundation serves the needs of children and youth in Collier and south Lee Counties.  If you are not in this area, we can still guide you in your efforts!

Would you like to help build readers and leaders in your hometown? Email Karen@kisforkids.org to learn how.

Join our youth movement by celebrating February’s Bring a Book, Bring a Friend® for Children’s Literacy Month and help give kids in need new books to read in your community while helping students nearing graduation more opportunities to lead.

SCHOOLS: The deadline has passed to become a NEW grantee/education partner for 2016-17; however, if you are already a grantee and have been notified that we need your survey application update, please do so now.  Click on the link below then email karen@kisforkids.org that you have completed it.

Remember, once you’re an education partner with K is for Kids, you’re always are a partner.  However, you must submit a survey application each year in order to update us on any changes in staff or student needs.

Books in Warehouse 11-22-13

K is for Kids’ education partners love to visit to “shop for new books” for their students; in 2017 we will be holding our annual Grantee Shopping Spree for book awards for Rising Readers at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County in mid-February at the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County..

 

Eligibility:

The Foundation currently addresses the needs of children in Collier County and south Lee County children and youth.  (See also review process below.)

Who can apply: Schools, daycare and community centers, preschool and after school programs as well as other nonprofit organizations that have a library, book nook or shared reading environment for children.  A second tier of eligibility addresses teachers’ classroom libraries, reading coaches book nooks and student book clubs when funding allows.
