Have a party and ask guests to bring a book suitable for a child; host your own Bring a Book, Bring a Friend Fun’raiser!
“It’s so easy. All you have to do is ask,” says K is for Kids executive director Karen Clawson. “Keeping in mind that one book can benefit hundreds, your friends can be a positive influence when they bring a book. Fun’raisers can be any theme or celebrate any occasion. Hosts are only limited by their imaginations. Fun’raisers don’t have to be any extra work at all. Planning a cocktail party or a cookout? Just ask people when you invite them to bring a new or gently used book. ”
Anyone holding a Bring a Book, Bring a Friend Fun’raiser event should e-mail info@kisforkids.org to arrange pick-up for books that are donated.
