Barron Collier High School and K is for Kids present Teen “Head to Toe” Fashion Show

We hope you’ll join us for this exciting event on Saturday, December 10th at the Barron Collier Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.  

Teen models and performers will take the stage to raise funds for this inaugural county-wide event sponsored by K is for Kids. The show will benefit the foundation’s Rising Readers program. A portion of the proceeds will go to Barron Collier’s “Helping Hands for Prom” program.

 K is for Kids’ “RISING READERS” program and

Barron Collier’s “Helping Hands for Prom” program, 

on Saturday, December 10, 2011 

at 7:00 p.m.

 in the auditorium of

Barron Collier High School

at 5600 Cougar Drive,

 Naples, Florida.

This event is a teen community project and is open to the public and all Collier County teens. 

 

Tickets are $5.00.  Sales begin November 28, 2011.

Purchase tickets in advance and receive a free V.I.P. booklet containing special coupons and discounts to area merchants.   At the door, booklets are $3.00 each. 

There will be a raffle and silent auction with prizewinners announced throughout the show!

This is a Bring a Book, Bring a Friend® Fun’raiser:

Bring a children’s book* to the event and get a FREE raffle ticket for each book you bring.

New hard covers are appreciated, but gently used are also accepted.

*Books, from toddlers to teens, are welcome; and will be given to children in need to take home and keep through K is for Kids’ RISING READERS program.

Teens earn community service hours important for high school and college.

Talent acts are invited to audition,

and volunteer positions for the show are still available

HOW COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN HELP

SPONSORSHIPS and PROGRAM ADVERTISEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE.

The public is encouraged to participate by supporting this teen project and its causes,

and of course, by attending the event!

Businesses are asked to donate items needed for the set design and for the event’s raffle,

food and/or snacks are welcome for teen rehearsals.

Monetary contributions are welcome (and tax-deductible) for both benefiting programs.

 

 

About K is for Kids’ RISING READERS program:  The program encourages children to read more and advance their reading fluency while recognizing their reading achievements.  The books will be distributed through Collier County public schools, focusing first on elementary school aged students.

K is for Kids® Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that promotes children’s literacy and leadership.  Our teens and volunteers teach kids that reading is fun.  Each year K is for Kids partners with community leaders  to engage children early and often about the excitement of reading and the power of words.
